ROCK MUSIC (Incorporating A.O.R. & METAL)

Rock is BIG! In this department you will find an excellent variety of recordings selected from our main database of over 90,000 worldwide available titles. Defining what we mean, and you would refer to as ‘Rock’, became easier once we decided that the ‘Guitar’ department was going to consist of everything (or as good as) of an instrumental nature, and the ‘Blues-Rock’ one would take care of the non-traditional rock based ‘Blues’ stuff, ‘Rock’ or otherwise. As a result, while this section is intended to concentrate on the loudest, heaviest and truly metallic end of the spectrum (plus a healthy dose of AOR), you will find other things here too. We are trying to cover as much ground as possible in this department; while it’s recently been all about getting on down to a thunderous roar, we are also here to bring you the finest of what ‘Rock’ past has to offer, and more specifically, what we feel to be things that still sound as good today as they did back then. From the early classics to present day, you can get a buzz out of Led Zeppelin one day, revel in the anthemic glories of Dare, Honeymoon Suite and their ilk the next, and then be knocked off your chair by the incredible Fony after that. As ‘Nu-Metal’, ‘EMO’ and the likes achieve greater popularity status, we will be giving even more space over to this style of the genre, but with limited time and space available, we must be selective with our choices for now. So strap your self in and take one wild ride through our corner of the ‘Rock’ spectrum - There’s a lot of great stuff out there, no matter what pigeonhole it may inhabit, and we hope that we can feature, promote and turn you on to the very best of them during the coming years. But not everything will be listed – It really depends on what we decide to target, but generally speaking, if it rocks, it will be here – and if it’s not – ASK FOR IT!
